Effective midnight Tuesday night, New York Times will no longer charge for accessing archives, and works by columnists. All archives from 1851 to 1922 and 1987 to present will be free. However, certain archives from 1922 to 1987 will still be charged (not sure why).

If you want to name your site, go to settings, and set a site address. If you are the possessive kind, claim the site, and you get more control of keeping the site private, public or open.
