Pimp my Ride, The Pakistani Way

Images of motif covered colorful buses and trucks in Pakistan.

“They might spew diesel fumes, they may take up all of the winding, narrow, under-maintained road one is trying to negotiate, but they are certainly noticeable, like so many mechanical dinosaurs adorned in full courtship colors.”

When nothing else works, find a picture

Looks like the Clinton camp is getting desperate, now that being nice is not working for them against Obama, they have removed the facade, and gone negative. While one side uplifts the American voter and brings them together, the other side thinks the American voter is naive enough to fall for an old picture trick! But, if it does come down to a picture, I wonder which one scares the Amercian voter more? After all it’s a fear tactic.

The New York TimesMachine

Check out the really cool online access to 70 years of New York Times archives they are calling, “TimesMachine”. The archives date back from their very first issue on September 18, 1851 through till December 30, 1922. If I have my calculations right, that’s over 26,000 issues. Looks like Amazon S3 is being used to store the images.

Nader to run for President again

Ralph Nader is back, and he announced on Meet the Press that he will be running again for the Presidency. This will be his fourth consecutive run for President as a third party candidate.

Asked about his age (he will turn 74 on Wednesday), Mr. Nader said, “The only aging is the erosion of one’s ideals.”

“Well, you know his being on the Green Party prevented Al Gore from being the greenest president we’ve ever had,” Mrs. Clinton said. “And I think that’s really unfortunate.”

Pakistan Brings YouTube Down

In an attempt to block YouTube in Pakistan, they ordered internet service providers around the world to block the YouTube site, which resulted in YouTube going down for an hour. Maybe it’s time to just block Islamic countries and China from any access to the internet. If they want to use the internet, then become open minded first!

“the details of the “hijack” were leaked out into the wider internet from PCCW and as a result YouTube was mistakenly blocked by internet service providers around the world. “

WHAT THE HEll?

You Suck at Photoshop #7: Patch Tool and Levels

Another funny Photoshop lesson from Donnie Hoyle, where he tires to hot up a facebook photo for a lucky fan. In his own mean and some what brutal way as he tries to make his fan into a “Mom he’d like to Facebook” , we get to see how to use the patch tool and levels.
