With pressure from International Whaling Commission, the Japanese mission to hunt humpback whales in Antarctica has been dropped. Nothing to rejoice over, the Japanese still plan to kill 1000 whales in the region. The Japanese reasoning for killing so many whales, it’s a necessity for scientific research. It’s baffling that the otherwise bright Japanese turn stupid when it comes to whales. I am sure scientific research is their new brilliant facade to enjoy some whale sushi!
