Google has acquired Swedish based Twitter clone, Jaiku. Looks like Jaiku has disabled new user sign-up, and is currently invite only. So, why did Google not go for the bigger fish, Twitter? It looks like a smarter move to go after the cheaper Jaiku. As for Twitter, who is going to eye them next, now that Google is not interested?
