Google today released it’s Android SDK, and has announced the Android Developer Challenge, with $10million in awards for apps built on Android. Android is basically Linux as OS, and Java as programming language. It will take you about 5 to 10 minutes to get everything installed and to start developing on Android. This has all the potential of taking mobile phones to another level.

Well that’s $15 million you would never have had, had it not been for Apple iTunes and the iPod craze. So maybe Mr. Zucker is just getting a little greedy here.
